UMLAUF After Dark

Join the Yale Club of Austin at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum. Enjoy music, drinks, and lawn games amongst beautiful sculptures. Hosted by Ian Tuski ’15 Mus.M.

UMLAUF After Dark will feature live music from local favorite Flip 45 and cash bar with drinks from Austin Beerworks, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and Wine For the People. You can shop handmade goods and art from Maridad Studio and Karacotta Ceramics. There will also be lawn games, food from Ze Wurst, and full access to beautiful UMLAUF Garden and Gallery.

Cost: $5 per person, but young alums free courtesy of Camp Yale. Beer and cocktails are included with admission. There is also food for purchase.

Spend a summer Sunday afternoon in an “oasis in the heart of Stockholm!” Come meet and hang out with other Yale Sweden alumni! 😊 Co-hosted by Brian Lim ’12 MBA and Tomas Nordberg ’02 MA.

@ the Cinema: Disney’s The Lion King

Join the Yale Black Alumni Association and Yale in Hollywood to watch Disney’s The Lion King. Revisit the remake of the 1994 Disney classic, with casting by Yale alum Sarah Finn. Co-hosted by Ashley Douglas ’10, Christopher Logan ’14 and Funmi Showole ’08.

Yale vs Harvard Mixed Football (Soccer)

More info: The (soccer) Game is back! Come out and play or support your fellow Yalies in the annual Yale vs. Harvard clubs of London soccer match. It is a full 90 minutes match on the Battersea all weather pitches, and we need all the turnout we can get – players of all levels are very welcome. Supporters are encouraged to come and cheer your fellow Yalies on from the touchline!

After the match there will be a joint Yale/Harvard drinks at a local pub (location tbc), all supporters and friends are welcome. In fact, if you know of any Yalies who used to be members, perhaps ones who have played in previous years, but have let their memberships lapse, definitely encourage them to come along.

Players and supports are encouraged to wear as much blue as possible, and bring along any Yale banners to help the cause! More details at RSVP link.

Carillon Concert by two young alums

Missing the bells of Harkness? Then come to the Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago where Tiffany Lin ’13 and Michael Solotke ’13, MD ’20 will be giving a free concert on July 21. Co-hosted by Cynthia Okechukwu ’08, ’13 JD with help from Joey (Joseph) Brink ’11 (UChicago carillonneur). Picnic on the lawn – if inclement weather listen inside!
