Many additional venues make sense for warm and sunny July and August weather. These include restaurant decks, picnic areas, patios, parks, backyards, and the great outdoors.

Some of these still work in September when it’s still warm, but not blazing hot.

That’s about it. These are supposed to be simple, agenda-free affairs — no speeches, no fundraising, just a party. That makes things much easier for the hosts.
